The Brno City Museum covers three top historical buildings:
Spilberk Castle and Fortress (Spilberk 1, Brno)
Permanent exhibitions: Architecture of strongholds and forts, and the Penitentiary system in Joseph II times, Spilberk from castle to fortress, Spilberk - prison of the nations, Brno at Spilberk, From Renaissance to modern trends, For new Brno.
You can also visit other parts of the castle like: Casemates, Observatory Tower, Lapidary, Baroque Pharmacy.
Meninska Gateway (Meninska 7, Brno)
The last well preserved gateway of the medieval city fortifications. There are short-term expositions there.
Villa Tugendhat - UNESCO (Cernopolni 45, Brno)
A monument of the world modern architecture, since December 2001 listed as the UNESCO protected world cultural and scientific heritage. It was built up in the period between 1929 and 1930 on the basis of a design of an outstanding architect Ludwig Miese van der Rohe.
