Brno - Very nice town. Worth visiting to see part of Moravia and a different part of the country from Prague.

Hotel Pegas - We had to walk a bit with luggage. We had one of the finsihed rooms and it was quite nice. It was a hot night--and we are Amercians are used to air conditioning. A fan would have been nice. Breakfast was very good. We did not realize that the hotel is located above a micro brewery/restaurant. It was wonderful and a real plus.

Brno - Neat clean undergoing restoration. Liked the walking precincts. Good train connections. Altogether very nice.

Hotel Pegas - Room was very nice and very well equipped. Wifi connection was excellent and very fast. The breakfast was well above average. The restaurant downstairs was very good and was of course in a micro brewery that brewed excellent beer.

Brno - We know Brno very well, as we lived there for 10 years and emigrated 35 years ago. It is now in a very good shape, which one cannot compare with the time, we lived there before.

Hotel Continental - A very pleasant hotel in the middle of the town, easily accessable. We have already used it on several occasions before. Service was very good and breakfast well above everage.

Brno - Brno town centre is very picturesque and the pedestrianized area provides pleasant shopping facilities (just watch out for the trams). The castle is interesting (as I remember from a previous visit), and there are museums, although the only one we had time to visit during our 1 1/2 days was the Janacek museum, where we were made extremely welcome. There are several interesting excursions to be made from Brno, e.g. some caves which, apparently, can be reached by public transport. However, we opted to hire a car for a day, which gave us leisure to explore the Moravian countryside and travel as far as Hukvaldy (near Ostrava) where we continued our main aim of paying homage to the composer Janacek. It has to be said that night life seems non-existent in Brno. It does not have anything like the atmosphere of Prague, even in miniature. By 7.00pm there were no cafes or restaurants where people could sit outside for meals. Any tables and chairs from outside seemed to have been cleared away. Fortunately our hotel restaurant was excellent.

Hotel Continental - The hotel was excellent and made our short stay in Brno very enjoyable. The staff were helpful and friendly and almost all very fluent in English. The rooms were comfortable and the meals were really first class. The restaurant was well ventilated so that the lack of a no-smoking area (still normal in this country) was not a problem. The town centre was only 5 minutes away, and the Janáček museum, for those wishing to pay homage to the greatest Moravian composer, only two minutes in the other direction.

Brno - Brno is a fantastic city. Lots to see, excellent bars and restaurants, all at very reasonable costs.

Hotel Continental - Very good hotel, well based for the main part of own for bars and restaurats. 5 minutes walk to the top of Ceska for the trams and buses. Excellent breakfast. Not to be considered for lunch or dinner. Rooms a bit on the small side but overall good value for money. I would stay here again.

Brno - A beautiful city! Quiet in December. Wonderful food and plenty to see. The country side is amazing, too. A wonderful city rich with History! Lovely Christmas market in the town square while I was there selling knick-nacks and spiced wine. A wonderful place to visit without a lot of tourists.

Hotel Pegas - It was perfect! Right in the center of town. I had a single room with a private bathroom. It was always clean and nice. The staff was wonderful. They were helpful and always had suggestions and questions about my travels. The food in their resturant was great and the beer was amazing!
