Gardens were founded in 1534. Nice view of Prague Castle, quiet place for refresh.
There are these gardens: The Royal Garden, The Riding School Terrace Garden, The Garden on the Bastion, The Garden of Paradise, The Garden on the Ramparts, The Hartig Garden. The gardens are free of charge.

Wallenstein Gardens
Wallenstein Garden is bordering Wallenstein Palace.
Garden is in Baroque style. A strictly geometric design and great salla terrena (see picture on the left) dominated her. Wallenstein Garden is open for the public since 2002.

Vrtba Garden
Vrtba Garden is a unique Baroque architectonic gem of the Lesser Town under Prague Castle.
This Italian style terrace garden was built in 1715 - 1720 for earl Jan Joseph Vrtba (the highest chancellor of Prague Castle).
Famous Baroque sculptor Matyas Bernard Braun provided all the sculptures for the garden.

Palace Gardens below Prague Castle
The Palace Gardens below Prague Castle are situated on the southern slope of the Prague Castle.
Real gem is Ledeburg Garden designed by Baroque maestro J.B.Santiny from 18th century. Valuable are: Small and Large Plaffy Garden, Kolowrat and Small Fόrstenberk Gardens too.
