Olomouc - See above.

Hotel Arigone - Extremely helpful people at Hotel Arigone and very convenient location to the town center. Olomouc has a lot to see, many nice restaurants, and is indeed a welcome relief from the huge crowds in Prague. My wife and I also took a long 20km bike ride along the Morava River, which was a fantastic discovery and the highlight of our stay. Start where the river crosses the main street in Olomouc and go away from the city. It looks like the trail may end, but it continues for 8km to a small town, where we turned around. The people at Hotel Arigone also got the bikes for us.

Olomouc - Different feelings compare to Prague.

Olomouc - This is a great place to stay for a couple of days to get away from the crowds in Prague. An easy train ride from Prague. There ae plenty of things to see and walk round in the town. The restaurants are also good and quite varied. We hired bikes for one of the days and cycled out in the Morovia valley which is a nature reserve. It was lovely countryside along cycle tracks by rivers through woods and at the side of the river. Very peaceful and no cars.

Hotel Arigone - The hotel is well positioned and has been modernised in a tasteful manner.

Olomouc - Always liked the city (my husband grew up there). It's quiet and peaceful with beautiful parks and churches. Good cultural programs as well. Not too far from the Jeseniky mountain to go hiking or skiing.

Hotel Gemo - Love the hotel and it's art deco style. This has been our second visit. Even though it's located on a busy street, it's not noisy. Parking is convenient and everything in the city is walking distance, the main square right around the corner.

Olomouc - Small Praha is fair name.

Hotel Arigone - Service, rooms, restaurant, all excellent - staff very helpful, location near touristic highlights, pity no elevator however, hotel is recommendable.

Olomouc - Olomouc was a surprise gem on our trip. We chose it to beak up the drive from Krakow to Cesky Krumlov and found a charming town with a beautiful square and excellent restaurant.

Hotel Gemo - The Hotel Gemo is lovely with clean, spacious, newly renovated rooms. The breakfast room is bright and the buffet was very good.

Olomouc - Loved Olomouc! After Prague and all its tourism, loved to be amongst the czech people and not feel like we were being overcharged for everything. It gave us an insight into a real czech town. There were lots of cultural events on whilst we were there so we did attend some of them.

Hotel Arigone - I thought its position was great! We ate at the restaurant both nights and found the food of good quality and price. Our room was also very clean and neat. The layout was a little funny with the small separate sitting room and bedroom.

Olomouc - Actually, I wasn't sure I wanted to rate Olomouc as 'excellent'. Part of the draw is the lack of too many tourist and I'm not sure I want the word to get out what a great little town it is!

Hotel Arigone - The Hotel Arigone was perfect for our stay in Olomouc. The building is on a cute little street very close to the main square. We walked from the main train station, but the trolley stop is about a block away and could easily be used to get to the hotel. There was someone at the front desk 24/7. Breakfast was included and was a typical buffet style meal - some hot items, plenty of bread, some fruit, and meats and cheeses. I would definitely stay at the Arigone again.

Olomouc - The town was very interesting, plenty of interesting things to look at. The hotel staff were helpful in pointing out attractions. The clock is great.

Hotel Arigone - We really liked this hotel. Apart from being very hard to find, it was beautiful, the rooms were lovely, the staff helpful, and the free internet in the lobby was appreciated. The breakfast was also very nice and cooked to order if you wanted.

Olomouc - Beautiful town and historic buildings. Two city squares with fountains and monuments. Our September visit was full of surprises with orchestras and dancing in the squares. Lots of shopping available, and plentyful of reasonably priced restaurants. If you have a car, day trips to the northern National Parks are a must. Slightly poorer than the west, and little English, (well, it is a Czech country!) but we would certainly visit again.

BW Hotel Pracharna - Very clean, modern and comfortable hotel. Our apartment was spacious, and had pleasant views looking out onto cornfields. Being out of the city is an abvantage if you have a car as it is quiet, private, and no problems with (free) parking. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Olomouc - Olomouc was interesting. We had the benefit of a guided tour by a friend of our daughter in law. We missed out on seeing the Museum and Art Gallery as it is closed on a Monday. There are several good places to eat and have an icecream and coffee in town.

BW Hotel Pracharna - The rooms were clean and nice. The hotel staff were helpful. The breakfast was good. The surroundings are very pretty and relaxing. There is no difficulty in driving the three kilometres into Olomouc. We had a very pleasant dinner at the restraurant on the entrance to property.

Olomouc - Lovely old buildings and some good shops, restuarants and bars. Beautiful old square.

Olomouc - Very interesting town! We'll visit Olomouch some day again! Countryside around was also interesting: fields were taken care very well.

Hotel Gemo - Nice hotel. Clean and air-cooled. Hotel was more expensive than hotel in Prague.
