Holy Trinity Column
The most significant monument in terms of world renown in the Olomouc region is baroque column of the Holy Trinity Column on Upper Square (Horni namesti). Unique column sculptural group has been listed as of the year 2000 on the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage.
This memorial column, erected in the early years of the 18th century, is the most outstanding example of type of monument that is very typical of Central Europe. Rising to a height of 35 m, it is decorated in the characteristic regional style known as Olomouc Baroque with many fine religious sculptures.
The marvelous gallery of sculptures was constructed in 1716 - 54 and subsequently consecrated by Cardinal Troyer in presence of the Empress Mary Theresa.

Marian Plague Column
Marian Plague Column is standing on Lower Square (Dolni namesti). It was erected from 1716 - 23 according to designs by V. Render to commemorate those who were felled by the plague.
