Kromeriz (UNESCO) was an important economic and administrative centre of the archdiocese of Olomouc.
The historical core of Kromeriz contains the chateau of archbishop with decorated salons and precious art collections of European masters. A garden below the chateau is a park in the English style with water system, exotic trees and romantic buildings. Wine lovers will appreciate The Archbishop Wine Cellars with their old tradition of making mass wines which are located next to the chateau.
The Flower Garden, situated 10 min walk from the historical core, is the work of Italian masters. The garden includes flower ornaments, fountains an arcade gallery and a garden maze.
Kromeriz is pleasant non-touristy place where you can learn more about common life in the Czech Republic.
