One of the most famous theatres in Brno City.
The National Theatre consists of three ensembles: Janacek Opera, Ballet and Mahen Drama. The ensembles play in three historical buildings, in Janacek Theatre, Mahen Theatre and Theatre Reduta. The last one is after a grande reconstruction and is well-known due to W.A.Mozart who stayed & worked here.
The theatre has national personalities but a local coverage. Their goers are mostly from Brno, South Moravian Region and vicinity of Austria. Time to time the ensembles guest in abroad. The Janacek Opera has a great success in Japan where is very popular.
