Olomouc has always been an important centre of culture in Moravia. Many excellent artists and composers visited the town, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gustav Mahler.
The Moravian Theatre has four ensembles of drama, opera, operetta and balet. Best organists from all world can rise to the occasion at an annual International Organ Festival at St.Maurice`s Church. Beside, Olomouc is a home of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, Museum of Natural Science, Musical Theatre, Museum of Art, cinemas and many small galleries.
